what I’m wearing: peachy loose-fitted t-shirt, pink denim skirt, yellow mini boxy bag, rose gold sliders, pink round sunglasses
Surrounded by palm trees, beautiful Spanish colonial architecture and a scattering of fuchsia pink flowers, this long, winding street proved to be a true bloggers’ paradise. Tons of natural lighting? Check. Subtle tropical vibes? Check. Flowers to match my pink skirt? It was all there. I will admit that I may have planned my outfit to fit with this dreamy aesthetic…
Colour blocking is something that I have found myself drawn to recently, reaching for pieces in a similar colour palette, as opposed to the exact or close-to shade, for a slightly more subtle take on this trend. The idea of mixing two of my favourite colours – peach and pink – made my heart flutter just a little bit. And the addition of this bright yellow bag, aka my current favourite and completely surprise pick, breaks up the outfit a little while still sticking to the citrusy palette. I felt like a piece of fruit – but in a good way!
What’s your take on colour blocking?
